George Loudon
Certified SCRUM Master

Biography - George Loudon, PMP

George is President and founder of Robust Web Services, Inc. (incorporated 2002). He is a proud naturalized American with 25+ years' IS/IT consulting experience in diverse industries, and has extensive experience regarding the effective management of projects and programs, as well as architecting, developing and deploying state-of-the-art, mission-critical IT systems (Web/ecommerce, OOAD, SOA, etc.).

George established RobustPM as a Robust Web Services business line to service client IT project, program and portfolio management process vulnerabilities and the mitigation thereof through the integration of clearly-defined, practically-implemented and optimized project management processes, via appropriate tools and techniques - the result being the delivery of successful project services or products on time, within budget and to the required quality standard.

Roles that George has been responsible for within the IT/IS domain include:- hardware & software Designer, Developer and Tester; Application & Enterprise Architect; Project/Program/Portfolio Manager; Mentor; Technology Visionary and CTO.

He holds the following certifications: Project Management Professional – PMP (issued by PMI), Master in IS/IT Project Management (issued by Villanova University, PA), SCRUM Master (issued by SCRUM Alliance), Java programmer (issued by Sun Microsystems), OOAD/UML (issued by SmartForce/CBT) and is a Certified Identity Theft Risk Management Specialist (issued by The Institute of Fraud Risk Management).

George is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI), the Institute of Management Consultants USA (IMC), Toastmasters International and has represented RobustPM at: Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), Independent Telecommunications Pioneer Association (ITPA) and American Small Business Coalition (ASBC).

Industries he has serviced include: aviation (military and commercial), mining, electronics, realty, direct/online sales, insurance, healthcare, medical, local government, legal/litigation, power utility/management, interactive media, dotcom and computer peripherals/appliances.

In South Africa, during the mid-to-late 1970's, George trained with Atlas Aircraft Corporation and qualified, with distinction, on military aircraft instrumentation and flight control systems.  During the early 1980's, he was licensed by the South African Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) on civil aviation flight control systems.  In addition, George acquired a private pilot's license, with night-flight, advanced navigation and aerobatics ratings – all achieved through the South African Air force, civilian flight wing.

From the "super-clean" (micron-filtered) aviation environment, he joined the De Beers Diamond Research Laboratories (in the early-to-mid 1980's) where he used his knowledge of control systems and electronics to design and develop industrial process control systems, including the design and development of embedded firmware - for use in "not-so-clean" mining environments.

During the mid-1980's, George adapted his skills, gained on process control systems, to automate business processes using commercial-based IT/IS systems to increase process efficiencies wherever possible.  The result, to-date, has been the successful management, implementation and deployment of many commercial IT/IS systems.
